- LIGHTWEIGHT: The ARO5 Race is lighter than its predecessor, the ARO5, thanks to a redesigned shell and other internal changes.
- VENTILATION: The ARO5 Race has new openings on the front and top, which significantly increase airflow and breathability. There are a total of 19 vents on the top, sides and back.
- LINING: The antimicrobial Ionic+™ lining is sweat-activated for a fresh feel and good odor control.
- GOGGLES STORAGE: Front vents provide riders with a secure way to store their goggles. Unobtainium® temples keep goggles in place, and cut-outs in the foam on the inside of the helmet prevent the temples from damaging the wearer's head in the event of an impact. This creates a simple and intuitive storage space for the driver's glasses.
- DESIGN: The ARO5 Race features an Iridium®-coated branding that mirrors the Prizm™ lens colors of Oakley eyewear. The color of the decal matches the color of the helmet, in keeping with Oakley's legacy of eyewear.
