Start der PTO Series in Canada: 1 Million Dollar Preisgeld

The PTO Tour starts with a bang as the top three athletes in the PTO World Rankings – PTO World No. 1 Kristian Blummenfelt, PTO World No. 2 Gustav Iden and PTO World No. 3 Lionel Sanders – become first at the PTO Canadian Open Compete against each other this season. The Professional Triathletes Organization today announced the men's race line-up for the first race of the PTO Tour - the "Canadian Open" on March 23-24. known in July.

"What a start to the greatest season ever," said an excited Sanders, who recently trained at altitude for the first time to win in his home country against previously unbeaten Norway. “Big events, the best athletes and bigger prize money bring people together. That's part of what's been the problem in the sport. We fought for scrap. What we are doing with the PTO has the potential to usher in a truly golden era for endurance triathlon – we have the right athletes, a dedicated team and committed investors behind us. This is the beginning of what can become a true professional racetrack, comparable to any other sport.” A total of $1 million in prize money will be awarded at each race of the PTO Tour.
