To the long version of our hygiene concept

1 Introduction

The measures and regulations relating to COVID-19 are subject to constant dynamics. As far as possible, we adapt this hygiene concept to the applicable rules and regulations.

The triathlon.de CUP Munich is a sporting competition that is held as an individual sport in the open air and is not one of the team sports. This also takes into account the sport regulations for the triathlon, such as sanctions for non-compliance with the slipstream ban (falling short of the distance to the person in front on the bike) or when accepting help from another person from outside. The provisions of the sports regulations also ensure that the participants are spread out over the competition courses during the competition. The number of participants at the triathlon.de CUP 2021 has been significantly reduced, the schedule has been stretched, the starts are single starts and spectators are not allowed. Contacts between participants and helpers are reduced to an absolute minimum.

As of June 7, 2021, the triathlon.de CUP is not (or no longer) subject to approval as a sporting competition according to the health authorities. With this hygiene concept, we live up to our responsibility as an organizer and offer a maximum of safety for everyone at the triathlon.de CUP Munich.

2 Basic regulations

Regardless of the sporting competition, the current, general rules, measures and regulations that serve to protect against infection apply to the triathlon.de CUP. It is important to be constantly informed about these basic rules and to comply with them accordingly. Every person at the triathlon.de CUP Munich bears this responsibility equally.

2.1 Hygiene rules

The AHA+L+C rules apply to everyone at the triathlon.de CUP Munich: Wear an FFP2 mask, observe hygiene regulations, keep your distance (if necessary, air the premises regularly), use the Corona warning app, hand hygiene.

It is recommended that you frequently wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds under running water. In addition, dry hands should be disinfected regularly. It is important to ensure that the disinfectant can take effect before anything is touched.

Sneezing etiquette: Proper sneezing etiquette includes sneezing into the crook of your arm (cover your mouth and nose) or into a handkerchief, which is disposed of immediately afterwards. You should also make sure to turn away from other people.

Distance: The distance of at least 1.5 m must be maintained.

Mouth and nose protection: Wearing a mouth and nose protection is mandatory on the entire sports area. The mask may be removed immediately before the start, and a mask must be put on after the finish line.

Reporting chains: If there is a reasonable suspicion, the local health authority must be informed immediately. The state of Bavaria has issued more far-reaching regulations in order to do justice to the regional infection rate: https://www.stmgp.bayern.de/coronavirus/rechtsbasisn/ https://www.bayern.de/wp-content/uploads/2020/ 05/200526- Council of Ministers.pdf

2.2 Hygiene Officer/Corona Officer

Anton Baumann is the hygiene officer/corona officer. He is usually at the information stand, right at the entrance to the event site.

Tasks:

- Contact person for the responsible health authorities for all questions relating to the COVID-19 pandemic

- Responsible for the implementation of and compliance with the individual infection protection and hygiene concept

- Responsible for the training, implementation, documentation and control of the protective measures introduced

- Responsible for instructing those involved in the hygiene and protection concept for the event and documenting this briefing

- Recording the health and travel questions of those directly involved and providing evidence of all persons present, taking into account the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for tracing possible chains of infection. These reports must be kept for four weeks and must be destroyed after four weeks.

- The hygiene officer ensures proper access for the registered persons on the day of the event.

2.3 Information Request

Collection of contact information

The contact details of participants and spectators will be recorded, secured and destroyed after a four-week period in order to trace chains of infection, taking into account the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The movements of the participants on the event site are documented using timing mats. This data is only read out if follow-up is necessary and is deleted at the latest four weeks after the triathlon.de CUP.

Answering health and travel questions

Everyone involved in the event (staff and participants) must answer questions about current symptoms and travel behavior or whereabouts in advance of participation ( Corona questionnaire ). If these questions are not answered or only partially answered, participation is excluded. If an answer leads to a positive risk assessment, participation is also excluded.

The following scenarios are possible: An athlete reports a positive suspicion:

o Isolation and ban on contact with the rest of the team.

o Restriction of interaction to protected contact with medical staff with appropriate protective equipment (FFP-2 mask, protective suit, gloves).

o Wearing an FFP-2 mask without a valve, using your own disinfectant dispenser. A viewer reports a positive suspicion:

3 Regulations for athletes and sports support staff

3.1 Definition of the group of people

This group of people includes in particular athletes, support and security staff, legal guardians or carers of underage participants, medical support staff, judges.

3.2 Information Requests

All participating athletes must answer questions about current symptoms and travel behavior or whereabouts in advance of participation. If these questions are not answered or only partially answered, participation is excluded. The participants must be informed that in the event of a corona case in the run-up to an event within a team or in the environment of the participants, the organizer must be informed immediately. The hygiene officer of the event must then decide on the participation options, taking into account the measures taken by the respective health department. If in doubt, do not participate. All trips within the last 21 days by athletes and supervisors must be reported to the responsible officer.

3.3 Arrival

The arrival of the athletes and the people directly associated with them should take place in fixed groups if possible, preferably individually by car or by public transport, e.g. B. public transport, train and plane. Carpooling with external companions or strangers should be avoided. However, if this is unavoidable, mouth and nose protection must be worn at all times for the duration of the journey and regular ventilation of the vehicle must be ensured. When arriving by public transport, the operator's hygiene regulations apply. When arriving in a coach, the number of people must be limited. The bus must be sufficiently disinfected before the teams board and the distances between fellow passengers must be maintained as far as possible. Active and sporty support staff wear mouth and nose protection during the entire journey to the bus. Shuttle All passengers must wear mouth and nose protection during transport. Shuttle drivers do not wear mouth and nose protection if they are hit by passengers, e.g. B. are separated by a Plexiglas panel. If this is not possible, they must also wear a mouth and nose protector. An FFP-2 mask without a valve is recommended. Transport capacity: 1 passenger with mouth and nose protection or 2 guests with FFP-2 may be transported in a car. 4 guests with mouth and nose protection or 6 guests with FFP2 may be driven in the minibus. After each change of passengers, the shuttle vehicle must be properly disinfected. Weather permitting, the short shuttle ride will take place with the window open.

3.4 Accommodation

The hotel must have a hygiene concept in accordance with the statutory regulations for accommodation that were in force at the time of accommodation. In the case of privately organized accommodation, it should be ensured that athletes who do not come from a household or a fixed training group do not move into shared accommodation.

3.5 Boat Place Access

Persons showing symptoms of illness will be turned away unless a medical certificate of a negative corona test is available. Access to the boat site before and after the competition is via a separate entrance and exit and is staggered in time. Each entrance is manned by its own staff. Upon entry, participants must present their athlete's wristbands, which they will receive when the start numbers are issued. Access is not possible without an athlete's ribbon. FFP2 masks are permanently mandatory on the boat berth.

Start number issue: The start number issue is spatially separated next to the boat place/outdoor competition. The staff and the athletes wear mouth and nose protection at all times. The starting documents will be issued in envelopes. The output is positioned so that spacing can be maintained. The delivery times have been extended and each start group has fixed pick-up times. The queue has enough space to avoid contacts.

3.6 Contact Recommendations

To avoid contact, the following rules apply:

o Visitors are not allowed

o Underage participants may be accompanied by a legal guardian or by a trainer/teacher. Both must complete the respiratory disease questionnaire. Therefore, the underage participants will receive 2 participant bracelets. One for the participant and one for the accompanying person.

o During the competition, the accompanying person may only stay in the waiting area (see route plan) or outside the boat area.

o All persons (participants, helpers, security personnel, judges, accompanying persons) must wear an FFP2 mask at all times on the boat site and keep a distance of at least 1.5m from other persons.

o Showers and changing rooms are closed.

o The toilet area in Boathouse A allows low-contact access. Here, too, at least 1.5 must be maintained at all times.

3.9 Meals

o Drinks will not be served on the course, but must be taken from the refreshment table by the athlete. Rubbish is to be disposed of immediately after the aid station in the respective “littering zone”.

o we only provide “packaged” groceries..

o Middle distance athletes will receive bottled drinks on the bike course.

o The athletes of all other distances have to take care of themselves on the bike course.

o Each athlete receives a drinking bottle at the finish line, into which they can fill their drink of choice.

o We do not use sponges because we see no way of providing them according to hygiene standards.

3.11 Greeting and Cheers

Welcoming and cheering rituals such as B. Shaking hands and/or hugs must be avoided.

3.12 Other groups of people

Judges, trainers and trainers are classified as athletes. Here, too, a “Corona Questionnaire” must be filled out.

Contact with athletes and coaches must then be avoided at all costs.

4 regulations for personnel

4.1 Definition of group of people

This group of people includes: members of the organization team, the security service, paramedics, the fire brigade, hygiene staff, officials, officials, technical delegates, judges, volunteers, timing partners, the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) , security service providers and other companies and people involved in the organizational process.

4.2 Information Request

The staff must answer questions, defined under 2.3, on current symptoms and travel behavior or whereabouts before starting work. If these questions are not answered or only partially answered, participation is excluded. If an answer leads to a positive risk assessment, cooperation is also excluded.

4.3 Arrival

If possible, the staff arrive in fixed groups, preferably individually by car or public transport, e.g. B. public transport, train or plane. Carpooling with external companions or strangers should be avoided. If this is unavoidable, a face mask must be worn at all times for the duration of the journey and the vehicle must be regularly ventilated. When arriving by public transport, the hygiene regulations of the operators apply.

4.4 Accommodation

The hotel must have a hygiene concept in accordance with the statutory regulations for accommodation that were in force at the time of accommodation.

4.5 Access

The staff is obliged to report symptoms immediately and not to show up at the workplace with symptoms. Access for staff to the boat dock is prior to participant check-in to avoid staff mixing with participants. At the daily entrance or before the start of work, all persons are asked about current symptoms or have to submit the corresponding symptom questionnaire. The following are queried: acute respiratory problems or non-specific general symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, exhaustion and weakness, loss of smell and taste. The questionnaires must be filed. Only after providing this information is it possible to start work.

4.6 Contacts

Mouth and nose protection is mandatory for the staff on the entire site, on the one hand for reasons of protection, on the other hand as a role model. The organizer (or the responsible service providers for their employees, such as security) must have sufficient face masks available so that they can be replaced regularly. Personnel who have contact with objects that are touched by other groups of people also wear disposable gloves. All helpers receive an FFP2 mask and disposable gloves in their equipment. All teams are divided in such a way that they only carry out activities in a firmly defined area - a "zone" - and this does not have to be changed. Even during breaks, the staff must not meet with employees from other areas. In general, sufficient breaks must be provided to compensate for the increased stress caused by working under mouth and nose protection, and more breaks must be planned in the activities to give the staff the opportunity for personal hygiene. Staff are encouraged not to attend any other events in their free time during event days.

4.7 Training

The staff and all those responsible are trained in the currently applicable hygiene measures. The training must be documented and attached to the overall documentation of the event.

4.8 Personnel Planning

When planning personnel, it must be ensured that the personnel are divided into fixed groups that only take on activities in one zone. There must be no changes in the groups. Job rotation as a work organization should be avoided. The set-up and dismantling activities are to be staggered in terms of time (start earlier, end later). Construction and dismantling work must be completed on the day of the event before the spectators, athletes and their teams arrive, or may only begin after the end of the event. This makes close coordination with service providers and suppliers necessary.

4.9 Use of Space

A minimum distance of 1.5 m between people working there is guaranteed on the event premises.

4.10 Meals

Break planning must also be taken into account when planning staff. The AHA rules must also be observed during the breaks and in the helper's room.

4.11 Meetings

All staff meetings take place outdoors or in well-ventilated rooms in compliance with the legal minimum distance

4.12 Occupational Health and Safety

The organizers and service providers are responsible for the implementation of suitable measures to protect against infection within the framework of occupational safety.

5 Rules for Spectators

Spectators are not permitted at the triathlon.de CUP 2021. Accompanying persons for minor athletes are excluded. Each minor athlete may nominate one accompanying person. This receives an athlete's ribbon analogous to the ribbon of the underage athlete. The accompanying person must stay with the athlete or in the designated waiting areas.

6 infrastructure

6.1 Infrastructure definition

The following areas are part of the infrastructure: Helpers' room/competition office, sanitary facilities, parking lot, starting documents issue area, swimming/biking/running routes, transition zones, start/finish areas. Showers and changing rooms are closed and not available.

6.2 Entry

The current legal regulations of the state government apply to admission to the competition area (with regard to restrictions, contact recording, etc.). In addition, there are the standards of our own hygiene concept.

Notices at the entrance to the competition area will remind all athletes, accompanying persons and helpers to comply with the hygiene and distance regulations and to wear mouth and nose protection. As part of the registration, the contact details of all persons who are allowed to enter the designated areas are recorded.

Completion of a symptom questionnaire is mandatory for participants, companions, helpers, judges and other staff. Persons with symptoms of illness will be turned away - unless the certificate of a negative corona test is presented (with the consent of the health authorities and medical care).

The entrance and exit areas are spatially separated. At the outlet, the statutory distance regulations must be observed and mouth and nose protection must be worn.

6.3 Zoning / Boxes

The event area is to be divided into security zones. The zones are designed in such a way that it is not necessary to exchange people between the zones. In all zones, the general rules of distance and hygiene must be observed. A "one-way street regulation" is organizationally set up. During the event and when entering and leaving, each group stays among themselves and without contact with the other groups. In the zones, each participant has his own area. This can only be left immediately before the start. Access and contacts are controlled using a transponder system. D

6.4 Departments

The event is divided into departments (swim course, bike course, running course, ...). Each department has its own team of helpers with fixed tasks within the departments. This prevents the personnel from mixing up.

6.5 Sanitary facilities

Masks are generally compulsory in the toilets. In the facilities, every second washbasin and every second urinal is blocked to maintain the safety distance. There may only be so many people in the waiting room that the minimum distances can be maintained. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day.

7 Triathlon Specific Guide

7.1 Guidance on social distancing control and enforcement

The sports regulations of the German Triathlon Union (DTU) are the applicable set of rules for all sports of the DTU (triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, swim & run, bike & run). The sports regulations regulate, among other things, the slipstream zone on the bike course. This states that there must be a distance of 12 m from the front edge of the front wheel of the person in front to the front edge of the front wheel of the following participant. In addition, when overtaking, a lateral distance of 1.5 m to the overtaken person must be maintained, which can be extended in accordance with the distance regulations. A distance regulation of 1.5 m will also be introduced on the running course separately from the sports regulations, or will be based on the currently applicable regulations of the respective country. The control of slipstreaming and compliance with the distance regulation on the bike or running course is carried out by referees and/or trained security personnel on and on the courses. The regulations will be communicated to the participants in advance. Staff The security staff on the entire event site will be increased. The organization team, helpers, judges and security staff are informed and made aware of the current country regulations. The goal must be a broad control of the distance regulations on the event site.

7.2 Guidelines for the triathlon.de CUP

On the event site and the adjacent parking facilities, information about hygiene and contact regulations will be provided to the participants by means of posters and information leaflets. In addition, announcements about the hygiene and contact regulations are made to the participants, spectators and third parties at regular intervals via the moderator. Participants are advised not to bring anyone with them on the day of the event. "Spectators are not allowed". The start lists of the participants are updated regularly so that contacts can be tracked seamlessly. The names of accompanying persons are also recorded. For the times outside of the immediate competition, the use of the Corona Warning app is also recommended. There is no public catering. To reduce contact, a virtual competition briefing will take place before the event. At the start, the moderator informs the participants about the most important points. The athletes remain in their place in the respective transition area.

award ceremony

To reduce contact, a public award ceremony will not take place.

The certificates are available online and can be downloaded after the event. will be made available for the winners to pick up in the triathlon.de shop in Munich.
