Compared to other sports, few can possibly match the pack size of triathlon. In addition to the sport-specific equipment, such as wetsuits, running shoes, swimming goggles or bicycle helmets, utensils such as household rubber bands, adhesive tape, sunscreen and much more are on the list. Of course, all of this has to be transported to the competition site somehow and stowed away as efficiently as possible. A possible help here are the transition bags. We have listed what you should consider when buying and attached two examples from our shop.
storage space
Ideally, everything you need on the day of the competition should fit in your backpack. To know what that is, you can find our checklist for the competition here [LINK CHECKLIST]. A good transition bag should also have a wet compartment for a wetsuit or dirty laundry. The cycling and running shoes, as well as other equipment such as an aero helmet, should also have space in the backpack.
Other requirements
But a really good backpack needs more than just storage space. It should be so comfortable that it can also be worn in everyday life and be robust and durable. The contents should be easy and convenient to access and ideally there is also a separate compartment where you can quickly get your wallet, car keys or other important things. However, it is impossible to define an ideal model, as the requirements are often quite individual. In addition, it is not easy to implement all requirements equally, since suitability for everyday use often suffers from competition requirements, for example, and it is difficult for the backpack to be ideal in both areas.
Nevertheless, here are two more good options from our shop!
